ship wrecked

This is not the greatest picture, but this is what I did this weekend. I made a pirate ship cake. It was for a friend's, little boys 5th birthday Pirate Party. It was one of the more exciting parties we've ever been to. Complete with a treasure hunt and a boat ride on a makesift pirate ship. (I am sure that there are pictures on her blog chaseandmason.blogspot.com)
It was really fun to make and I certainly learned a lot!!

yall come!

Since AJ loves simmin' I thought I would show you all exactly how is it supposed to be done down here in Kentucky. out here at Vernon Farms we have an A-1 supurb swiming pool for your small ones to enjoy! All for the low cost of 1.00! Now that's a deal!!! Hey and tatoos are welcome

mickey blue eyes

Trapper Hampton happens to have the bluest eyes I think I have ever seen besides my dads. I have always hopped that I would have a baby with eyes like his because I always felt like you could see right through him into his heart. I think that is so special and hope that Trapper keeps his paw paws pretty blues.

Rub it in...

Anytime one of my kids gets sick, I begin to start to smell the wonderful aroma of VICKs VAPO RUB. It happens to be one of Weston's favorite products. It happens to be one smell I absolutely hate!! He uses it for everything. The best part is that he greases the kids up in it until you could fry bacon on them. Last night AJ had a cold and out pops the little blue tub and rub a dub dub vicks vaporub!!She replies, oooo I don't yike it!! Tucker then takes the little pot and rubs it on him until he has a nice greasy sheen and says well I do feel a little sick.... What fun!!

update

Baby trapper had his procedure done yesterday and all seemed to be ok, just a bad case of acid reflux. Go figure. He'll just have to take medicine for a while. Thanks for keeping us in mind!

Now....
I have to brag on Tucker for a little bit. He is the absolute best big brother ever. Last night he went to the barn with uncle Kaelin and the neighbor who has a brown dog named whitie. the horse decided that he didn't like the dog bothering him while he ate. So, he gave him a good swift kick in the nose. Taylor, the neighbors daughter was there as well and was very upset by the situation. Tucker being the great big boy he is grabbed her hand and said, lets go to my house. so they did and he "shaked" her hand and said I am so sorry about your dog. Handed over his flashlight and off she went to tend to the dog. he said he was so worried about her.

This morning, Trapper was crying and Tucker said MOM he needs his bottle. So he sat in the back seat and fed him on the way in town. Then he cried when he went in and I asked what was wrong and he said, I just want to be with baby trap. HOW SWEET!!

4 month check up

Baby Trap went to see his pediatrician today for his 4 month check up. He weighed 14lbs and 15.8 oz and was in the 4th percentile in weight. he was 251/2 inches tall and was in the 70th percentile for height. Was a WHOPPER!, considering he seemed to be so small. I looked back at Tuckers record and he is already bigger than he was at the same age. Keep us in mind tomorrow as we will have a barium swallow performed for extreme spit up just to make sure that all is well. That is at 9:30 in the morning. H]\ope all is well your way!

A J-isms

In case you didn't know Ansley Jane Vernon has a full vocabulary.I alsways said that I wanted to write down the words that my children said, the way they said them. It helps you remeber the funny little ways they interpret the world. Here are some of her made up words. :)
cawah= car
morwe = more
scoo nacs = Scooby doo snack fruit chews
si yap = I want to sit in your lap
lub oo = love you
bobby= her blanket
tappeh= trapper
I onna hold due = she wants you to hold her
bondle= referring to a bottle
o naanie = my grandmother that spends every day with us - aka old nannie
green-yeyow= some color they are all green or yellow to her.
batt = she wants to take a bath
yeahhh!!- she is so excited about something
simmin - she wants to swim
peet tape - she wants a peice of tape.
peeped- she has tinkled in her diaper
sweats go= lets go
i o tay = i am ok, don't worry nothing hurt
hip may = help me!!!
Sometimes Nannie and Tucker have to help me interpret her words.
She is so much fun. She often says " whats goin on" and "I said stop right now mommie!"
Of course it takes lots of facial muscles to just keep from cracking up.
Have a great day!!

waterlog

My little Ansley Jane is so simple. She is one of the joys of my life. She is absolutley hilarious. One of favorite things to do is to go "Simmin". We had a pre-labor day cookout on Sunday at Romanza Johnson park and played in the creek after eating. The other children also enjoyed catching crayfish ( Ithink I spelled that right). It was just an all around good time.
