Hooray for Chick-fil-a

I would like to encourage everyone to come on out to chick-fil-a on Campbell Lane on Tuesday nights. We went last night and they a have free craft, a free baloon, free face painting, free ice cream and of course the jungle gym. My kiddos have a blast. Oh, I forgot ot say that the cow is there too. Here are some pics from our mostly free minus the cost of food night.
The little girl with Ansley Jane is Ansley Beth. Her Mom and I were prego at the same time and I worked with her dad at Urgentcare. He was a pharmaceutical rep and brought food from time to time. it wasn't till after they were born that we learned they had the same name and are 1 month apart. We also learned that they have the same coat, their dads went to the same elementry school and they both have 4 year old big brothers who are also a month apart. Go Figure!
tucker really did get tuckered out and fell asleep by the slide, it was really kind of funny. If the weather isn't bad we'll be back for some more chick fil a fun next week.

Ansley and the terrible 2's.

I knew that the 2's were going to be tough but man I just didn't expect them to be so trying. I pretty much have to hold her all day long. She now randomly wants a bottle all the time. She doesn't want me to hold Trapper at all. She repeatedly tells me that I am not the boss. she wants to wear her princess costume most of the time, and it has to be with out clothes underneath ( when it used to not matter). she must have on big girl underwear although she refuses to use the potty- although in her defense she pottied last night. She must eat her scoo -nacs ( fruit chews) every morning before breakfast and she constantly wants to wash her hands and remove her clothing if even a drop of liquid gets on them. UGhhhhh!!! will this craziness ever end???

In the meantime she has become very sweet and in-tune with other things as well. Her new favorite baby doll is one my aunt gave her for christmas and she has cleaverly named it "Dirty". Her other baby's names are Bin Tin and Angie. She likes to prentend a lot as well that she has a baby. She also really likes to play doctor and will give you a shot upon request. I just wish that real ones felt like hers. If she does go into the medical profession she will be great and painfree :). She is still crazy about shoes. Her Ampa had gotten her a giftcard for payless and we made a trip there today. She tried on every pair of shoes in her size. boots , flip flops, dress shoes, crocs, and tennis shoes. She thoroughly enjoyed herself and would let everyone in the store know that the shoes were sooooo cute after letting out an ahh.

Hopefully we can get past the crazy tantrums soon and we'll get back to my sweet girl.

Falling asleep in the jumparoo..

Storm- O- phobic

There are many things that you want to pass to your children about awareness and other intuitions so that they don't walk blindly through life. However, I have passed a bad trait on to Tuck. Tuesday night I sat vigil at the side of the televison until 1:30 in the morning to make sure that my family and belongings were safe from harms way. I generally am extremely over cautious when there is even talk of severe weather. I close all blinds, draw all curtains and gather all flashlights, candles and radios and put them in our safespace( the closet) so they are ready for use when we need them. I pace, look out windows, bite nails, eat popcicles and feel as though I could up-chuck at any point, and continuously switch channels to see if one knows more about the weather than the other. To say it plainly I am SCARED!

Side note: somewhere areound 11:51 pm, Chris Allen says " people are always asking me, chris, why does it always break up by the time it gets to BG" and he replys, "I don'tknow". Well, I can tell you why!, it is because Larie Vernon is on her hands and knees praying for that! Thank god for answering prayers!

Back to my point. On our way to school yesterday I was trying to explain that we were very fortunate that the tonados missed BG and we were safe. He asked what a tornado was and I tried to explain it to him. In his very simple way he said , so its kind of like the sorm throws up?. I said sort of. anyway, he was very concerned. I picked him up from school when there seemed to be an outbreak of 40 miles an hour winds and he was SCARED to death. All the way home he asked 10 thousand questions about the weather. He was really worried that a tornado was coming and we would get hit. Needless to say, MY worst fear has now become Tuckers. So, may I ask this... When severe weather breaks out, prayer for calm for Tucker and I.
